TEAM PARENT
Organizing and coordinating the team’s ''extra-soccer-curricular” activities and traditional rituals
Welcome!
Your participation as a Team Manager is invaluable to the operation of our soccer club. BAC encourages creativity and functionality to manage your team as smoothly as possible.
Team Parent Meeting will be in late August at Oki Park in the evening
BAC Uniform
We’re excited to partner with a new uniform vendor, offering high-quality, breathable, lightweight jerseys included with registration.
The reversible design features Red on one side and Black on the other, eliminating the need for pinnies or a second jersey.
Players will need black shorts and black soccer socks, which can be purchased from any vendor or added to your registration.
Collection of Money for Goals
Your team may choose to utilize a "goal jar" to collect change from spectators after each one of the goals scored by your team. The funds raised are generally used for the team's end-of-season party, trophies, etc.
Snack Schedule
Game Time Snacks
Snacks at halftime or after the game are a fun tradition in youth soccer, offering a quick energy boost and a small moment of team bonding.
That said, we want to help lower expectations: this is not a lunch, a prize bag, or a candy haul. A simple, healthy snack like orange slices, granola bars, or apple packs is more than enough.
In recent seasons, some teams have chosen to skip after-game snacks altogether—citing food allergies, cost concerns, and the extra trash. Others have chosen to donate toward a shared snack fund, with one parent taking on snack duty for the season to avoid the pressure or competition that sometimes creeps into this well-meaning gesture.
Ultimately, snacks are optional. If your team chooses to include them, aim for simple, inclusive, and waste-conscious options.
BAC Pictures, Fundraiser, and Apparel
Team Managers are the liaison between the team and the BAC Pictures, Fundraiser, and Apparel Coordinators. Functions include the collection of money for the club’s fundraiser and delivery of the products to the team's families.
End Of Season Party
Celebrate the end of a great season by organizing a party. Ideas are: pizza party, potluck; and venues such as bowling alleys, inflatable bouncing outlets, indoor soccer arenas, etc. This is the time to close out an unforgettable season and a good opportunity to recognize the team with well-deserved trophies.
Team Banner
Team Managers coordinate the development of a banner to represent the team and BAC at all the games and functions. Banners can be created by team members, parents, and friends, or ordered from vendors and they should be ready to display by the first season game. As a Team Manager, I always make sure that your banner represents your team spirit.
Trophies
Team managers are responsible for ordering trophies at the end of the season. These are options of local businesses offering the services:
- Frank's Pro Shop
4400 San Juan ave. unit #6, Fair Oaks, 916-483-8659).
- Mention that you are with BAC Soccer to get a $7 per team order discount.
- OR
- Wilson Trophy Company (1724 Frienza Avenue/916 -927-9733) www.wilsontrophy.com.
- A free coach’s plaque with the team trophy purchases when ordering online.
Coach's Recognition
The team may wish to honor the coaches' commitment to youth soccer with a small item commemorating the season. Team Managers coordinate the purchase of a plaque with the team’s picture, a trophy, or some other token of appreciation.
